A Mormon's Guide to Judaism

Many members and missionaries of the Church have approached me in the Temple, at church meetings, or at firesides asking for information about Judaism. They want to understand the many facets of Jewish thought, worship, culture and history of these people.

Is it important? Ezra Taft Benson, one of the presidents of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1985-1994) said "We need to know more about the Jews, and the Jews ought to know more about the Mormons."

Three parts, depending on your needs and interest (see contents):

Part One: Overall, basic view of Jewish beliefs and special holidays. Focused toward development of cultural understanding between Jew and Gentile.

Part Two: Detail on these themes with an LDS perspective.

Part Three: For those with special interest in the history of Israel, Hebraisms, holidays, rituals, prophecies, jokes and recipes, Orson Hyde prayer.
